Appearance: Blonde longish hair sometimes braided, she has delicate features and big green eyes with very thick lashes, she is fairly pale for someone in that climate. She wears a pale blue blouse with white shawl held with a plain silver broach, she often wears a large straw hat. She wears a dark gray skirt with white socks and black shoes.
Personality: A very impressionable girl who is suffering depression after her parent’s death. She is very sweet but lets her emotions rule her and is very idealistic. She becomes very attached to Father Chaser because he is now the only family she has left. She has quite childish views of right and wrong, assuming that if it is done by someone she loves or herself it has to be right. She is easily manipulated and pushed into things. Whilst she isn’t a very strong person she isn’t stupid, she is bilingual and is quite a good actress. Her parent’s death has unhinged her slightly though, leading to sleepwalking and bursts of strange hysteria on occasion. She has nightmares often resulting her waking up screaming. She often prefers her own company or that of adults, whilst before her parent’s death she was quite a sociable girl.
Place of Residence: She moves in with Father Chaser at the Church.
History: She is the daughter of Father James Chaser’s older brother Peter. Peter and his wife June were shot in a raid which many blame the VC for. They were both innocent people and Belle witnessed their deaths. She was sent to the Father because he was her only family besides his elderly mother who has gone senile and she has never met. There was also a hope that the priest could help heal her wounded mind. He mother was a talented perfumer and her father was a carpenter who was teaching Belle to carve. She has had a very good education resulting in her being bilingual and a talented seamstress.
